Finally got there when the place was open. Nicest people. Some of the best brisket I have ever eaten. Unqualified 5*. Sides delicious too. Highly recommend.

We ate Davis's BBQ when it was being served at Texas Beer Company in Taylor. It was delicious and moist. The sauce was so sweet and tasty that we asked if they sold it bottled. They directed us to their main location, which was a few blocks away in a little grocery store. When I asked for the sauce there, I told them we had just eaten their BBQ downtown, and they gave us a cup of it for free! We had originally gone down to try Mueller's, but the line was so long, outside and also inside, that we changed our plan and tried TX Beer Co. It was a super clean, modern venue with picnic tables. When I told someone we had eaten there, they asked if we had the cooked cabbage. They said it was the best. I had their brisket, perfect potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. The Davis BBQ staff were super friendly and served us with joy!
It was simply fabulous. I think the brisket is as good as any I've had at the top BBQ places in the greater capital area. It was so good I'm going back with the intention of sampling the sides that are available. I'm going to leave stuffed! And the sauce was superb too. A perfect brisket sandwich.
Stumbled upon this location with great pleasure. Most definitely the best location for Bbq. This place is NOT average. It is the best in the area, hands down.
This review is limited to the sliced brisket sandwich I ate there. Due to an impending dinner I had to limit my intake.
My only complaint, and it is minor, is that they do not have brewed sweet tea. All the beverages come out of a container, and sweet tea wasn't among them. I'm not a sweet beverage drinker, but a sweet tea with BBQ is part of my ritual.
I was disappointed when i visited at 6pm on Saturday and the door was locked. What are the hours? Google said 8am-8pm. I have tried their BBQ at the Texas Beer Co, very good. Will upgrade to 5 stars when I can find them open.
