This is the best vet you will ever find. Everyone is so kind and they care. His prices are low I can't afford the big city prices. I grew up in a country town with a good old fashion vet and I get the same with Dr. Greaf. It's a long wait to be seen, but well worth the wait. I love this place and the people in it. I know my animals are well taken care of. My dog needed a surgery I checked every where in the city the prices were so high. Someone told me about Dr Greaf so I decided to give him a try. They took very good care of him. He is doing great and is very happy. He was a puppy at the time and is now 3 years old and doing great. What Dr Greaf charged me was a huge weight off my shoulders his prices were so much lower and the level of care was fantastic.

Worst Vet EVER! Took my dog for blood in his urine and this quack told me there was nothing to do for the dog but to put him down and he would be more than happy to "do it" now. I told him that I wanted a second opinion. Well, thank God I got that second opinion. My dog ended up having crystals in his urine and after being put on meds...he is fine.

Also, they told me the sutures would dissolve on their own and I did not have to bring her back. Not true...they were nylon and I had to remove them myself.

If I could give less than a 1 star I would. I adopted a cat from Taylor Animal Rescue. She was too young to spay at the time so they gave me a certificate to make an appointment with Graef Veterinary Hospital. When I made the appointment they told me to come before 11:00. That should have been my first clue. I showed up around 8:00 and there were people standing in line waiting.....first come first serve. When they discovered what I was there for they checked in my kitty. She was in a small carrier and was very nervous. I asked if I could pick her up and they said she must stay overnight and that they would call me when the surgery was over. After not hearing I called around 4:30. She had not had her surgery. I asked if someone would be at the clinic overnight and was told no. Bright and early next morning I was there to pick her up. She was brought out in her crate and it was obvious that she had spent the entire last 24 hours in it. The pad was soaked with urine; there were signs that she had pooped in her crate. Her hair was matted and stinky. She obviously was not well cared for. If you are particular about your pets this is not the place to go.

I've never been to a better vet in all my life. Even though it is on a first come first serve basis. The staff is awesome and Dr Graef is very loving and cares deeply for all the animals and their humans.

People come from miles around because of the care their pets receive at Dr Graef's. We live near Bastrop and travel about an hour, but we won't go any place else. He and his staff are all so caring and the prices are so reasonable.
