Good service by Melvin and Cody. They were professional and skilled. Amy is very charming and helpful. I am pleased with the work. They did leave some dry wall and tubing in my furnace closet so they made a little mess. They are pricey and tend be very sales driven and can price gouge. So negotiate and try to get them as low as possible. My home insurance used S and D to come take a look at water damage and they ended up writing a bid for pipe removal after knocking part of my wall and ceiling down which was OK because he had to see if any pipes were leaking from upstairs/behind the wall. Removing an old pipe had nothing to do with the water damage since it was confirmed later that the water damage was from the roof which had been repaired years ago.( I'm not the original owner of the home)
In a follow-up Michael and Kyle came out and re-routed part of my water line around the broken line. The were very polite and careful around my house using booties to protect my floors and carpets. I am still very happy with the service I received from this company they do good work and reliable.
Toilet and install was a fair price but I think I overpaid to have a new toilet waterline/pipe installed. It was originally $313 but I got him down to $275 which is a lot considering it only took 20 minutes with $50 in parts you can get at home depot. They seem more higher end so only use them if you don't care about price or are willing to negotiate.
S&D was called to locate a leak in my plumbing system. Jess was on-time and very efficient. He located the area of my leak a shut off the water flow to that area. Amy was very helpful in arranging a time that I would be available to come out to my home. I would use this company again and would not hesitate to recommend them as well.
If I did not confirm it with the my insurance and actually sit down and think everything out it would have been $1200 to remove an old pipe that had been sitting behind that wall since 1945 when the house was built and my home insurance bid not completed. (S&D did not receive the bid from my insurance, so the insurance could be at fault here, the supervisor of the adjuster will call me tomorrow) I understand why they would do that and I will give them the benefit of the doubt, they want to solve problems. Plumbing can be a tricky business, things can get very expensive if you don't pay attention and are not careful.
S&D Plumbing was excellent! I had an appointment scheduled and a technician at my house within 24hrs. (They actually came earlier than anticipated) Michael was very polite and informative. I really like the upfront pricing! Michael got my old garbage disposal removed and my new one installed quickly. I will definitely recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work done.
Our plumbing problem began when we discovered that our shower wasn't draining and water was backing up in our guest bath tub. This happened at 7pm in the evening. We placed a call to S&D after seeing a recommendation for them on our neighborhood Facebook page. Jessie arrived at our home around 9pm and determined within about 20 minutes that our sewer pipe had broken and tree roots were growing in it causing our drainage problems. Jessie cleared the tree roots for an immediate fix and told us he would get us a quote to fix the pipe. We got the quote, compared it with a couple of other companies and decided to have S&D do the work. Jason and Zach arrived yesterday to fix the pipe. They explained exactly what they had to do and how long it would take. At the end of the day they were not finished so they shored up the 7 foot hole and put caution tape all around so that no one would accidentally fall in the hole over night. They arrived this morning to finish their work. They completed it, cleaned the area and asked us to come outside and see how everything looked. They also showed us the broken pipe. I would definately use S&D plumbing again. They are a family run business that wants to please their customers. We had an emergency situation and they were out here very quickly at 9pm at night. Their prices are competitive and their technicians were all friendly and very competent.
I recently hired S&D to replace two water heaters in my attic. As they were starting the work one of the technicians accidentally stepped thru the ceiling over my entry hall. They immediately arranged for the hole to be repaired. The damaged wallboard was replaced, taped and floated by the end of the day in addition to replacement of the water heaters. The wallboard patch was painted the next day. When the new paint did not exactly match the rest of the ceiling, S&D agreed, with no argument, to repaint the entire ceiling so the repairs could not be seen. The professionalism and integrity of a company is not tested until things go wrong. S&D passed the test with flying colors and I would not hesitate to use them in the future.
