This is an old school department store. Great selection of jewelry. Nice selection for the small town of Taylor.
I accidentally showed up 5 mins early with my infant. I was instructed to wait out in the heat. I work in customer service and open up a store front as well. Never in my life would I even dream of telling anyone with an infant to wait in the Texas heat while I turned on my computer. I always tell people to come on in out of the heat and explain that I'll be with them in a moment. Especially if they have children. They didn't know this but I was in a situation where I had to buy something in the store as I didn't have anything to wear for an appointment that afternoon and would have bought several items even if I didn't love them purely because of the situation I was in that day. They lost my sales for the day and many future sales from me. Treating people with kindness and consideration can go a long way. Telling a mother with an infant to wait in the Texas heat purely to make a point is unnecessarily disrespectful and inconsiderate - especially in the customer service businesses.
